The Fairy

After reading the Contest announcement from reagarding a rainbow mascot I went outside and looked for inspiriation.

There suddenly a white little fly came past me and I followed it until it sat down on a flower. Then I saw it: What I at first thought of as pure white was in reallity rainbowcoloured, flowing fur!

The little thing just sat there and watched me very carefully while I studied it. This is how I first met Nigra, the rainbowcoloured guinea fairy pig

She told my her name and that it is her name because she is all colours at the same time. This is why I saw her as white at first. But all colours together are also black, but because We can't see her as black, it is her name.

I tried a lot of new things with this one and would really like to know what I could do better.

I'm quite fond of the background and the flower (acryllics and coloured pencils), but I', really not happy about her fur... I tried watercolour and pencils, but it just didn't work how I wanted it....

The model was my guinea pig and really close friend leeloo, who sat still for me until I finished the lineart. I really, really love her
